This is a place for people who want more out of connection—the artists, healers, intuitives, and curious souls who build meaning through shared experience. It’s part creative retreat, part gathering space, and part launchpad for the things people are building, teaching, and dreaming up together. Some come to host, some come to rest, some just come to be around the energy. However you show up, you’re part of what makes it work.
Our Historic Home Base
Built in the 1940s and lovingly cared for ever since, Cedar Lodge feels like your cool grandma’s lake house — full of history, comfort, and room for everyone. The two-acre property includes 14 bedrooms, a fireside lounge, a full commercial kitchen, and a private swimming dock being rebuilt for summer swims and parties. The wraparound porch overlooks the lake, offering the perfect spot for morning coffee or late-night talks.

Steps away, The Black Chapel serves as our dedicated studio space, hosting workshops, sound baths, and movement classes. With open lawns ready for a community garden, it’s a place made for gathering, creating, and staying awhile.

Our Offerings
Our workshops and retreats set the rhythm, but the heartbeat of The Nest comes from the people who gather here. Artists and dreamers, teachers and friends—it’s a revolving door of creativity and connection. You never quite know what you’ll find, only that you’ll want to stay awhile.
Lounge, Third Space, & Lake Access
From slow afternoons by the lake to late-night talks in the lounge, our shared spaces are made for connection and ease. Take a dip off the dock, join a craft circle, or sink into a couch and stay awhile — The Nest is your third place between home and work, built for being together.

Rentable Space
We share our space so others can create, teach, and grow. Rent the kitchen for your baking business, The Black Chapel for classes or workshops, or a private room as your office. Around here, the goal is simple: give good ideas a place to live.

House Hangs
From game nights and cozy clubs to our free weekly potluck, House Hangs are how our community comes together. These gatherings make space for laughter, learning, and a shared table—the heartbeat of The Nest and everything it stands for.

Workshops & Retreats
The Nest offers a mix of in-house retreats and workshops alongside classes led by guest hosts from across the PNW. Our own programs dive deep into creativity, rest, and ritual, while visiting facilitators use the space to share their craft and connect with our growing community. Every gathering unfolds around shared meals, handmade details, and the easy magic that happens when creative people come together with intention.
Memberships
Get early access to the lodge, 10% off every event, and a seat at the table as we grow what’s already taking root. Every membership directly helps cover rent and keep Cedar Lodge in the hands of the community — funding the space that members get to use, shape, and grow with us.
Programming Sneak Peek

Twilight Movie Marathon Day Retreat
We gathered with 30 new friends to celebrate Twilight’s 20th anniversary, watched the full series, and ate restaurant-quality meals. Between films, everyone made mosaics and crafted Twilight-themed bracelets with high-quality stone beads and charms. It was the first glimpse of what The Nest is all about — good food, creativity, and community that comes together naturally.

Witch's Broom Making Workshop
What started as a single fall workshop has turned into a full-blown favorite, with nearly 200 people joining us to craft their own witch’s brooms. Guests begin the morning with brunch before gathering armfuls of foraged greenery, flowers from Pike Place Market, and trays of crystals and charms. By the end, the room smells like pine and florals, and everyone leaves holding something that's uniquly them.
Recurring House Hangs
No matter the evening, there's always something happening at The Northwest Nest! Just $20 for a day pass, you can tap into any of our house hangs without breaking the bank. Most events start at 6:30 pm, but you can come settle in anytime after we open to the public at 3 pm. Snacks and drinks are always provided at no extra cost. We always have a mix of sodas, chips, candy, crackers with cheese and salami, as well as the fixings for hot dogs and s'mores you can cook over our outdoor gas fireplace.
Mystical Monday
We gather to pull tarot cards together, talk through astrology transits, and practice short group meditations that set clear intentions for the week ahead.
Network & Chill Tuesday
A weekly meetup for makers and small business owners to share what they do, what they need, and what they can trade. It’s networking that actually builds community.
Page & Prose Wednesday
Alternating between reading and writing, this weekly hangout is part book club, part creative circle, and all about sharing the love of words.
Game & Gather Thursday
A laid-back night of board games, card decks, and laughter. Join a table or start your own, meet new people, and play until you lose track of time.
Movie & Mingle Friday
Movies start at 3 and roll late into the night. Drop in whenever you’re done adulting and ready to curl up for a full Friday marathon.
The Maker's Table Saturday
Bring a project you’re working on and see what inspiration strikes from our shared craft supplies. Stitch, paint, glue, or tinker while ideas and friendships take shape.
Free Community Potluck Sundays
Dinner’s at 6:30pm. Bring a dish to share, pull up a chair, and make yourself at home. We always set out to-go containers so anyone who needs a meal can take one with them.
